I found out last week that a new local VROC chapter is starting up. It is Mid-MO VROC for those of us in central Missouri. Not that I was trying to get away from you guys, I was just interested and joined hoping to meet other local Kaw riders and have some fun. Well after I joined I posted some rally pictures and told them a little about myself. I guess I scared the daylights out of everyone because no one has made a post since. From the pictures that was posted on the site when I joined it looked like there was more Harleys than Vulcans in the group rides to start with. And none of there posted planned activities for next year has anything to do with VROC. So I guess I will just blow them off and hang around here. It sure gets lonesome up here with no active members around close. Even most of the members in the KawaNOW North Central Group are 2 to 3 hours away. I am sure I am wearing Rick and Teresa out but they are the only Kaw people that want to do anything. I guess I will see what happens when spring gets here.

I know the feeling Jim. There are several members in Louisiana but I'm the only Cajun who ventures out for the group rides which are all at least a day's ride away. That's OK though, it's fun getting there and more fun when we get there. There are a few HD riders around here but we seldom get together for group rides.

Firearms deer season starts in the morning and runs through the 24th. If I don't take a buck ( I am hunting for a large rack this year ), the doe only season runs from the 25th to the end of the month. With Thanksgiving thrown in I will have plenty to think about beside motorcycles for awhile.

That would mean that I would have to deprogram some Harley riders and get them to buy Nomads.

Back to thinking about motorcycles! None of the kids are coming home for Thanksgiving and I shot a nice 12 point buck this morning. I could buy a doe tag and keep hunting but the weather has turned bad with rain. I might just sleep for the next couple of days.

Good job Jim. Are deer up there like Kansas and Iowa, corn fed and huge bodies? Our season opened the 14th, not much deer sign where we usually hunt. I think most are moving to town.

Hell, I think they're all moving to Texas! I see them down the street all the time. They're having a convention and planning a coup.

Oh, I never intended to leave! I just was looking for some more local folk, of the same mind set, to visit and ride with.
