Sturgis Week must be close

On a short ride to pick up some parts, met a couple of groups heading north. One of them was pretty big, 20 bikes with 2 chase vehicles.

Must be that time of year.

Yep, most of them were HD's. Must also have some serious partying planned. One trailer was loaded with coolers.

Sounds like a camping party. Room rates go over $200.00 a night.

I saw an ad in Custer that advertised a motel room for $2,000 for a minimum of a week. To steep for my blood.

Me and a high school buddy from Tulsa are headed to Sturgis wednesday the 30th. Anyone else going? We are staying in Rapid City.(3rd and 4th) We won't need chase bikes cause we don't ride Harley's--LOL

When did we get so politically correct that we started referring to those as "chase vehicles"? We always called it "the crash truck."

I knew a guy that called it the "stupid wagon." He said in 20 years of riding the only time he ever saw a bike get loaded on one was because they ran out of gas.

Personally, when it is loaded with coolers and the inside looked like it was jammed with gear, I think that it is more of a chase vehicle. Also, they were trying to chase them down.
