Loose Saddle Bag Doors

How about this. Never happened on my 05 Nomad.
The other day I went to go to work, opened my right saddle bag and the door almost fell off.
The front hinge bolts had come out. One was still hanging in, but both nuts had come off.
So, waiting for my parts to come in.

I used to check and tighten my saddlebag hinge screws when I changed my oil.

Are the bags on the Nomad made out of ABS like the Voyager? If so be very careful with Loctite, it will cause spider cracks or worse. Just do a Google search for ABS and Loctite.

Why not just use star lock washers or nylon lock nuts?

The Loctite I use isn't a liquid, it is a paste that comes in a tube (like a tube of lipstick). You roll the bolt threads (tip) in it, then assemble, the only place there is Loctite is on the bolt, and engaging threads of the nut, great stuff, and I prefer it over the liquid. It is called Loctite Quickstix 248. Here's a link to it.
