Reckless motorcycle fairings w/KawaNOW discoun

I wish I'd seen this thread before I ordered one last month. I got the 6x9 version with no stereo for my 2007 Vulcan 1600 Classic. Do you have any recommendations for where to get marine stereos, the amp and speakers?

It protects my upper body and hands very well, I got the 5" and 8" windshields. I read on kawasakimotorcycle.org from CactusJack that the Reckless fairings s compatible with '96-'10 H-D Street Glide, Electra Glide, and Ultra Classic windshields and windshield hardware (chrome trim, etc). He pointed to http://fastaire.com/Content.html for a replacement which is where I'm going to look too.

Thanks,
KOE

What would produce the best sound quality out of the three speaker options?

The biggest factor is the quality of the speakers themselves, but probably the 2 6x9's. I have the 2 6.5" speakers and they sound great. I just didn't want my fairing to be all speakers. I bought Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers, which are of very good quality. You can buy cheap speakers, but you get what you pay for.

Got it done, install was easier than I thought,
I got the 6x9 speaker setup looks cool / different, Painted it myself flat black with 4 coats of clear.
I plan on color matching later, for now looks great to me, and I have had plenty of positive comments this past weekend on a 600 mile trip.,
Best Part is, I have around $400 invested including new pyle stereo mp3/usb/ sd player $47, two 350watt 6x9 $25, water proof mount $12, Reckless 6x9 fairing, w 8in shield $250 + $50 Shipping.
Everything list I bought off ebay NEW nothing used.

I also added chrome molding around the seam of the fairing, nice little added touch. I also bought a two prong disconnect for the power supply to radio, this makes it easy to just unplug and quickly remove the fairing, there are time I like to transform my bike into a clean bagger look with no windshield and ride around town, this little connector make it hassle free.

In closing I give the fairing two big thumbs up, the ride of my bike feels improved over the flat slab of glass that was on it before, the fairing dose take more wind off of you and my long ride seemed less tiresome, I like the fact that I can easily transform my bike in under 5 mins from a metric road-king to a metric Glide and a trunk and you have a Ultra Metric.
Love this bike.

Where is everyone getting power from for the radio and accessories on the fairing?

I have completed the installation of my Reckless fairing. It wasn’t that difficult... my
main concern was the wiring. I did install a fuse block and a 4 prong trailer harness. I
liked how Cactus Jack installed all of his switches, so I installed a few myself. Drilling
holes into the fairing was a bit scary. Once I got the stereo, speakers, and switches wired
in and working, I removed it all and off to the painter it went. I was thinking of painting it
all black, but my wife thought the two tone would look better. And I have to agree... the
two tone looks better. What do you think? For more pictures see my photobucket link

I saw Rick's (Glassgod) fairing last Saturday in person. His painter did an amazing job! Looking good, Rick!

Not 100% sure about speakers but agree with CJ, YOU get what you pay for.. BUT I think you can get 3 way 6x9 speakers which covers bass, mid range and treble better....
