Oil Filter

Ok, so I need an oil filter and I don't really care to go pay the dealer $10+ for some off the shelf crap that they have. Can someone give me a link to good priced oil filters? Or can you give me some part numbers to cross reference at NAPA?
I have seen them on ebay but am always a little hesitant about something like that.

06 1600 Nomad

Thanks
OP

From this link:

http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/FilterXRef.html

If you have stock pipes and goat bladder, I can recommend the Bosch 3300, about $6 at any AutoZone. I use a Bosch 3323, which is longer. I have aftermarket pipes and no goat bladder, so it will fit.

JUST DON'T OVER-TIGHTEN THE FILTER! Ask me why!

I see the cross reference chart recommends the Wal Mart filter (among others) as well. I feel even better about only spending the $2.67

just one note, while you may be perfectly safe, using a filter that will spin on and seal, unless you are using a manufactors catalog or cross reference you can not count on it meeting the original specifications

NAPA lists gold filter # 1358 for the Kawasaki. OEM specs. this is the standard size filter (short), if you have an aftermarket exhaust (no goat bladder) a longer filter is a NAPA Gold # 1356.

I may go with the NAPA filter since I will be going there for a brighter headlight bulb, does NAPA carry a good synth oil for bikes. I know that you need to watch out for the lubricants and additives.

My local NAPA carries a pretty good amount of motorcycle accessories (batteries, filters, oil etc) so yours may have syn. motorcycle oil. If not, the advance auto parts, autozone, etc should carry it. One thing about the NAPA gold filters, they are almost as much as the Kawi filters.

The Super Tech filter from Wal-Mart is made by Champion and has the anti-drain back valve in it.
