A couple of nice hooters

There's a woman I work with who lives about 4 miles from me in Gilbert. My wife's cousin and his family just moved into her neighborhood. I was showing her on Google Maps where his house was and she showed me where two small owls like to perch.

My wife and I went past there tonight, and there they were. This pic is with my Droidx phone, but I plan to go over there with my good Canon camera and get some better shots.

It's kind of odd to see these little owls hanging out on this wall in a residential neighborhood.

Interesting photo in the wild. We had an owl next door to us. It's a trade off with white nasty stuff everywhere and reduction in the number mice, rats, moles etc. My neighbor said the owl was living there to be near his chickens. I suspect he was right. Neighbor got a dog and the owl moved on.

Probably a high number of rodents in the area.

Yeah, there are large dirt lots on both sides of the wall. Probably rodents and lizards to dine on.

Be honest. You just wanted to grab those hooters, one in each hand and squeeze them, didn't you?
