Vermont MC rider crashes

On October 13th 2010. A Vermont rider travelling down a dead end road, at a high rate of speed, lost control near the end of the road and crashed into a house. Rescue personel found him half under his Harley and half stuck into the side of the house. It truly was a dead end.
Wherever you are, be sure you know what speeds are appropriate. Ride safe....

Vermont MC rider crashes

We all know what can happen riding a bike and we do it anyway. I get pissed every time some one brings up the dangers, that is what we all choose. I sure don't need to read about people who don't pay attention. If he's not a loved member here, I really don't what to know about it and I'm sure there are a lot of others on this site who feel the same. You can read about a dead biker everyday, but do we need to see it here?

I appreciate being reminded of the dangers, because it is a good reminder to me that I need to pay attention to what I am doing when I ride, so I don't become arrogant.

Really sad news to hear. People should always ride accoding to conditions and knowing the roads they are on. Paying attention is key here. Really hated to hear it.

Caddman11,
It always affects me, when I hear about a rider's last mistake. I've seen other post of MC riders not having a good day, that aren't part of this forum. I haven't seen negative comments as to their being posted. I won't post another story of this nature in the future.
I'm not trying to piss anyone off.
Just letting everyone know, I think we should be aware of where we are, and maybe it's a good time to play, or maybe it's not a good time to play.
Ride safe, Gerry

Vermont MC rider crashes

It's sad, even when an idiot who defies common sense dies on a cycle. Fortunately only the rider suffered the consequences. I have no problem if you want to race, but don't do it in anyones neighborhood where you might hurt someone or damage their property.

I bothers me when this type of accident happens, because it only adds fuel to the fire for those who don't like cycles. We all know the dangers, and hopefully we all use common sense and do everything we can to mitigate those dangers.

Actually, it was determined that he was showing off, maybe didn't know it was a dead end street. Tried to stop, lost control, hit some dirt and left the roadway area and stopped "in" the last house on the street.

Gerry keep posting what you want to. You stated in the subject what it was about. If a person wants to read it they can. If they don't they don't have to click on it.
