Still Riding in Late October

For late Oct here you can't complain about the weather... Usually by now I'm getting my bike ready for winter. But yesterday the weather was so nice I had to take a ride. Left my place and took a 220 mile loop down through the canyon past Big Sky to Hebgen Lake (10 miles from W Yellowstone) then up 287 thorough Ennis to Norris and back home through Belgrade. What a great day ! And with school is session now there was barely any traffic whatsoever.

That's a nice ride. Was it cold up around Big Sky? It was 30 degrees when I rode through there in JULY.

A little nippy along the river. Once I got past Big Sky it was beautiful.

I have been up from Island Park through Ennis to Bozeman, but it was many years ago in a car.

Guess you haven't been here for a while. That speed limit thing went out in the Late 90's . Still if you went over 85mph they would pull you over.

Me too, although it rained here all day so no bike riding for me, but I'll be riding if it dries up.

Nice pics. I call it quits for the season once the salt goes down. Last few years they have been using some green crap before it snows. It just makes a mess of the bike and to dangerous.

I'm at 2000' elevation here in Placerville so I get to ride year round.

I really like the winter riding in the Sierra Nevada Foothills.

Here in California the Liberals don't allow any salt on the roads, might hurt the environment.
