That was pretty interesting, she did the right thing for sure.
Here in Canada she would have been charged.

That actually happened to a friend of my wife's.
Ex broke into the house, she retreated to the bedroom and locked the door. He broke through that door and the last thing he saw was the blast from the barrel of her gun.

Defending your home and property by any means should be one's right anywhere... even in Canada.

In Illinois... one would have to have a very good attorney to get out of deep-trouble as it is illegal in most respects to shoot someone -- however, occasionally you'll read where a good attorney and a reasonable jury/judge will provide relief from conviction.

Locally, two of our police-officers are being investigated for killing a man that was running from the police. He entered a day-care and put the children and "teachers" in danger. They shot and killed him... now they are on trial themselves in a federal investigation because Rev. Jackson got involved since he was a black-man. (This person killed had a long, long record of violent crimes)

Jackson stirred some much trouble that the "feds" had to get involved to provide a uninfluenced authority over the investigation and trial.

Most of you know how I would react to Jackson's actions... ;)

That woman should be applauded for her actions. One less violent a-hole for the world to have to deal with....or pay for in the penal system.

As for Jesse Jackson and his cohort Al Sharpton...god knows they have done more to hold Black people back than any two individuals anywhere. When in the world will the Black community wake up and put those two knuckleheads on ignore.... :-/?

The DA in my home town said if we shoot a home intruder that the Grand Jury will never indict. Might be because he would tell them the SOB deserved getting shot
