Best place for shopping in Canada?

Do you mean on-line shopping, or a store?
On line in Canada We have Royal Distributing. I use them quite often and they are fast, but it is more snowmobile and atv, their bike section is getting better though. I also have shopped at j&p cycle and custom cruising in the U.S. If you do shop online in the U.S make sure that they will ship the item by united states postal service. There will be a small handling fee ($5 unless they put it up lately) and GST to pay when Canada post delivers it. UPS will kill you on brokerage fees.

I meant on-line. I've shopped quite a bit from the USA but more and more places want to use UPS, I'm tired of paying almost as much in broker fees as I have for the item. I'll check out dream cycles, thanks.

Just ordered a set of Kuryakyn Longhorn offset & dually pegs from Dream Cycles. Once I get them installed, all I have to do is wait 'till the snow melts....

Best place for shopping in Canada?

I found out the hard way a couple years ago ordering from Dennis Kirk and shipped by UPS. It cost me an additional $103.00 when it arrived at the door. Now I won't even considor ordering if I see that they use UPS.

I often buy from the manufacturers directly at bike weeks, Daytona, Laconia, Americade, Sturgis, etc..

They install the stuff no charge most of the time.

If you don't mind a 'westerner' posting here :) Dream Cycles web site is actually http://www.dreamcycles.net. It is decent, but limited selection for the Nomad IMHO.

There are a lot of places in the US that will gladly ship USPS, sometimes you just have to e-mail them and ask, but a lot will still list it as an option, you just need to make sure you select it as it is often not the default method. What I usually do is get the manufacturer part number and then do some google searches for that part number to find the best price, and USPS shipping. I gladly buy from Canadian vendors, but with USPS shipping I can save too much ordering from the south most times. Dream Cycles is close on some items though, but it has always come down to needing more than the one item for me, and they only have one of the items I wanted.

A couple that I have used that have USPS shipping:

http://www.phatperformanceparts.com

http://www.powersportsuperstore.com

For the Longhorns you ordered they would have been about $166 CAD shipped plus the $5 brokerage and GST from Power Sports Superstore, so Dream Cycles is definitely in the ball park for those at $165 + shipping and taxes.

Hi Strobe,

We'll let you sneak in this time ( Just Joking )
Thought I might just add that I have come across a few places that wouldn't ship USPS. I usually politely tell them their shipping methods make them uncompetitive and buy elsewhere.
