I'm interested to see what Arkansas looks like. Will just have to see where I'm at and what work allows when the time gets closer.

From here, it looks like a pretty straight shot down I35. ?

That's only about 230 miles for me. I could be interested in attending.

Not sure of your reasons for choosing Mountain Home, but if you haven't been to Eureka Springs, AR, there are some great riding roads there also... it's just a tad West of where you're talking. Eureka Springs is a very biker friendly town and most of their motels/hotels cater to bikers. There are several shops for the ladies and restaurants for all of us to enjoy. Just a thought... I don't want to infringe on your planning.

Eureka Springs is a great place to stay. I was there the first of June for 4 days. There are good road in just about every direction. Harrison looked like a good town too. It's about half way between Eureka Springs and Mountain Home. I don't think we can go wrong as long as we're in the Ozark Mountains.

Nothing wrong with Eureka Springs. We had the 2010 South Central rally there.
Just looking for a different place.

Never rode in Arkansas, so I am in. June 10 - 12 works for me if that is what you pick Ray.

Hey, Jen. That was cuttin' it a little close. Glad she didn't try to join you on the seat!

Had a friend get cleared right off the seat by a deer and got hurt pretty bad. Safe travels.

Wow Jen!! That was a close call. I'm glad a chip in the fender is all the damage done (not counting your nerves).

On rally planning:
For what it's worth, [most] of the VBA rallies I've participated in were held the week before Father's Day. I remember because normally my dad and I go together, and the weekend we get home is Father's Day, a great way to end a father-son trip. - I'm not necessarily making that a request, but putting that out there for reference. It's been pretty reliable for weather and such

Fathers Day 2014 is June 15th. So a combined NCR/SCR regional rally June 10-12 would work out well for you. Greg W. may have trouble with those dates though and I would sure hate to see him and Kendra miss another rally

See attachment for average weather conditions for Mountain Home, AR

Gene, don't they have a room named after you at the Hub?
I thought you were here once a month for some type of rally.

Northwest Arkansas is a good place to ride, ask anyone who has been here.

As a matter of fact, I'll be in Eureka Springs for a week starting this coming Saturday!
