Someone Please Help This DUMMY!

:-/ OK, don't mention it! I know...I am a numbnuts. Now can anyone help me?

I broke the two plastic tits off the toolbox holder. The two tits that go into the two rubber doughnuts on the toolbox side cover for the Nomad.

Is there anyway to fix without having to buy the whole million dollar piece of plastic crap??

Thanks. :'(

I've used epoxy in the past for little plastic things like that and it works great. The kind I've used comes in two different packets and you mix the two togather with a popsicle stick on a piece of cardboard or something and a chemical reaction happens that makes the stuff like super super glue. A dab will do ya.

Epoxy is the way to go. JB Weld calls their Plastic Weld. Used that to glue the screw tabs back to the plastic casing on my cruise control buttons on the truck. I've used it on other plastic items. Works wonders!

Reading the manual carefully so I do things right, I was following instructions for removal of tool kit. After unlocking side cover with key, I attempted to slide cover to rear and off. Didn't come off so I pulled the sucker straight out and broke my little titties! :-[

The manual should read to slide forward and out! :(" title="" border="0"/>

Wonder if I could get a new box on warranty if the instructions were wrong. Of couse I could have read wrong too! ???

Those are pretty lame instructions! The first time I took my tool kit out I was real careful because the "door" didn't swing out easily, so fortunately I stopped to investigate as saw the little torpedo that enter the rubber holes and pulled straight out! stupid design for sure and no need to beat yourself up for breaking them. I was just lucky that I stopped and looked carefully why I couldn't open the key side any further.

I busted the ash tray in our van and used some superglue type stuff that was for plastic only. It worked great...but only use a little. It supports a whole ashtray full of change!

Stone, what color is your bike. I have the chrome covers on mine and might be willing to sell the black ones laying in a box in the garage if they match

JB Weld makes an epoxy called PLASTIC WELD. It works great and doesn't cost much at all.
