I now fear getting older will make me sound like you Norm Did Dave telling me I hit the nail on the head (Harley owner Nomad owner) mean anything that you could logically decipher?

Don't fear growing older and wiser Brad although on some people that just does not work, I am assuming then that your hit on Harley's in you sig line is simply a series of typo errors.

If I say my CCT is better at touring than a Harley does that make a Nomad better than a Harley? You didn't infer that right? Didn't I give props to the Gold Wing owners too?

As for your VW, don't sell it short. My 67 VW was a big step up compared to the Bridgestone bike I was riding, especially in the winter.

But it is only your opinion that riding the Nomad is like riding a Schwinn. I will admit I have never ridden a CCT or Gold Wing and I did take a Road King on a test ride. I have had 2 Nomads and they do everything I need them to do. I have ridden to Colorado, toured Canada, been south to many rallies and put 88,000 miles on my first Nomad. I don't think I would have been able to go half that far on my Schwinn

You should and more. It costs nothing but time and can be an eye opener. You won't know until you know.

I have owned a Nomad and a Voyager and have ridden a Harley.
A Kawasaki is still my favourite. |

I'm happy with my 2008 Nomad. As far as "you don't know until you know" I have a saying of my own, you don't miss what you never had.
