MPG update after mods

Well, I finished off the first tank of gas since the mods (dual air, baggers, and PCIII and custom map). I drove the bike harder than I ever have, winding the rpm's up higher than usual on a regular basis, maintaining 80-85mph on the freeway for extended periods, and hitting 100mph once (I know, I know.... ).

My mpg driving the arse off the Nad was: 32.5mpg

The next tank I will drive completely "normal"... not babying it nor riding it "like I stole it" and I will chime back in to state the difference in mpg.

I was averaging ~35mpg before the dual air mod, custom map and dyno, so driving like a madman with NO regard for mpg + the added performance mods didn't bite the mpg too badly really. I can certainly live with it, especially since I know I don't ride like that normally.

You did not hit 100, your speedo may have read 100 but you were probably only doing 90. You need to go back out there and do it again until you get it right. Make sure the Highway Patrol is out there to verify this accomplishment for ya. We only go for official verification here.

Actually I'm impressed with the diff in mileage. It will be interesting to see if those numbers hold over several tankfulls. I never trust just one. Go do more research.

Get a Speed O Healer and what you see on the speedo is what you get.

No bubble bursted here. I have the SpeedoHealer, but it's still 3mph off according to the dyno. My speedo read 103. The guy I was riding with has a 2003 BMW 1200ST who's speedo is accurate. He said we were right at 100mph on the nose.

Thanks, OB. I see it's true, "with age comes wisdom". All the others were quick to doubt me but they didn't take the time to notice that I already have the SpeedoHealer.
