They're getting tired of that one. Its hard to keep being creative. ;)
Tell them that you suffer from friggatriskaidekaphobia
Which is a legitimate fear of Friday the 13th. Tell them to look it up on Webopedia if they think it's made up.

If they can spell it ;)
Or you can say it ;)

I'll have to try some of those reasons Gerry, although I usually go to work when I feel like crap since I can get more rest there than at home. ;) ;)

Shhhhh, You don't have to be sick to use any of the suggestions....

There is a advertisment on this site with a nice young lady wearing a T-shirt. The shirt says,

" hard work pays off in the future, Laziness pays off now".

Sort of like,

"don't do today, what you can put off 'til tomorrow".

Kind of a nice thought.

I went to Friday the 13th the last few years. Last year (50th) it was insane and hot and humid as all get out, kind of got me thinking been there done that, don't need to do it again. Personally I would rather be riding my bike, not walking it down the hwy like on Friday the 13th, but if you haven't gone before it certainly is worth doing once or twice.

The wife and will be attempting to attend this year. We went last year and i to was looking to see some KawaNow folks there, lots of nomads but no riders around them. I too get an early start and breakfast at Harley's. Maybe we could get some kind of embroidered Jule to be recognized as a member of such a fine group. ;) ;)

Thats the main reason that I didn't attend last year. The crowds would have been crazy. Since its in May this year Im sure it will be busy but a lot better to walk around and enjoy.
