2012 Rally Motel Update

Ok....I went by the motel Saturday to check on the rooms.

I wish Kenny would have handled this in a more professional manner, and I apologize for the confusion.

This is not a busy motel, and I don't believe they have anything but drive up customers.
He obviously has never dealt with a group before.

I'm sorry that several people will not get the non-smoking rooms they were expecting.
Attached is the list of reservations he had.

FYI....There are 5 rooms left, all doubles, smoking and upstairs.

If anyone is missing please let me know.
If I can assist anyone in finding other accomodations, just ask.

The double won't be a problem. As I said there are 5 doubles left.
But the reason for the post was that Kenny has overbooked the number of non-smoking rooms he has.
I can assist you in finding a non-smoking room at another location if non-smoking is a must.
There is a comfort inn across the street, and several others within five minutes.
I'm sorry for the mistake, but I can't make another non-smoking room.
You were the last person to reserve a room, and there simply are no non-smoking rooms left.
Again you have my apologies.

No problem Dave, not your fault at all. We appreciate all you've done. I checked the Comfort Inn across the street and they are all booked up for those dates. Got a room, non smoking, king bed, in Alma for $50.36 a night. It's a Days Inn 6.9 miles away from Travelers Inn. They had rooms left if anyone is interested. Again thanks.

Yes. A single room has one bed.

Motel terminology is confusing to me.
A single room usually has one double bed, but sometimes a queen or king, and intended to accommodate two people.

A double room has two beds and is intended to accommodate up to four people.

Kenny still had a room reserved for someone who chose another motel.
So... If you need a room at the base motel, there is ONE left.
Be aware that it's a "smoking" room.

Due to circumstances beyond my controll, I will have to bow out of the rally and try it again next time. So, I will be calling to cancel my room today about noon. It's room 15, a single non-smoking upstairs. Good luck to anyone needing a room. At least this means I'll probably be making the Antler's rally. Not a total loss, but sure wanted to be there in AK. to ride with all you great folks.

Need help! Is there an alternative hotel. Travel inn no longer taking reservations. Will be bringing my wife with me.

The Super 8 and the Motel 6 on Fayetteville Rd. (AR Hwy 59) are close.
Motel 6 is a bit difficult to get in and out of.
Fayetteville Rd. is busy and there isn't a traffic light at the entrance.
Super 8 has easier access but it's more expensive.
Let me double check at the Travelers and make sure.
Since Paul isn't going to be able to make it there may be a room.
I'll let you know soon. BTW what is your name?

Called travelers inn this morning and they reserved a non smoking double for me. I wonder if he really has the room.

I know Paul had a non-smoking room reserved but it wasn't a double.
