06 silver/green nomad

I guy stopped to talk to me while I was waiting for my wife at a store. We had our bikes. This gentleman was 78 years old and quit riding three years ago because of the crazy traffic. He said he has an 06 silver/green with 14,000 miles with the top bag rails and light bar like mine. He didn't know what they are worth (no internet). He said he was asking $4,500. and some guy tried to chew him down.
I told him if I was looking for another nomad and if its as nice as you say that I would give him 4,500. for it.
That night my said if it wasn't so heavy for her she would buy it.
SO! does that sound like a good price.

I think that's a very fair price.

I would tell him to start at $6500 and let them chew him down from there. Make them feel like they're getting a good deal.

Sounds like deal

I picked up an 06 green and silver in March for a little north of 5000.00 and thought I did good. The bike only had 650 miles on it and I was the third owner. Yes that's not a typo. Still had the break in sticker on it.

I've got that exact same bike/color. Bought mine used from local dealer about a year ago for $4900 but it had 69K miles. Took it home, rode for a week and motor went bye bye. Luckily, it was under Kawasaki CPO warranty so they covered that vast majority of the $6000 repair bill. Yeah, $6000 to fully rebuild the engine using OE parts at a Kawasaki dealer. I have the paperwork to prove it.

So, $4500 for that bike is a great deal with that few of miles. Make sure you check it over for compression, oil leaks, etc. A 2006 with only 14,000 miles tells me it wasn't ridden much, so be on the look out for water in the gas tank and oil from sitting for long periods.

Fish I see you have 50,000+ on your 08. You could buy the 06 and sell the 08 for more than what you pay for the 06.

Some times a bike with that low miles is not a good deal. Of course you know the tires are old and need to be replaced. The oil, coolant and fluids are old also and need to be replaced and just hope the fork seals didn't dry out.
I bought an 07 with 6500 miles on it in April for $6000. Had OEM tires on it so I had to replace them since they were 7 years, and replaced all the fluids and plugs also.
