Nomad burst into Flames
I believe there was a Nomad that caught on fire last year while gassing up. Why do you ask?

Nomad burst into Flames
This is a very unusual question and does make one wonder.
I've never heard of such a thing.

Nomad burst into Flames
Blondies 99 GR/GR burned at a gas station on the way to WWR3 last year. Something to do with the 99 wiring harness. Several have had problems.

Had my Husquvarna 266 Chain Saw burst into flames while hot fueling, years ago.

Nomad burst into Flames
Quote:
http://www.vulcanbagger.com/phpBB3/v...=10842&start=0 I did have a little incident, but certainly not as dramatic many years ago. One day with my first bike, a Yamaha 80, I overflowed the tank a bit when gassing up. Some of the gas must have run down between the engine casing and a cover that gave access to the flywheel and points. I got about 2 minutes down the road and bang, the fumes exploded and blew the cover half off hitting me in the foot. Scared the heck out of me. The bike still ran fine after, but I had a sore foot for a while.

Nomad burst into Flames
Had a co-worker hit 30 minutes instead of 3 on the microwave yesterday and left the room. Smoke-activated alarm emptied 300 people out of the building until the FD arrived and clear us back in.

Nomad burst into Flames
I once had a 1978 Ford Courier start smoking out the tape player but I was beating on it with a hammer at the time.

Nomad burst into Flames
Fueling errors mainly are the causes, and or ignoring the bevel gear bearing has cause one Nomad to fry. Ignoring a bearing is just another way to start fire by rubbing 2 sticks..
To fuel any bike the rider must get off the bike and have it on the side stand, which groynds the bike to earth, besides hold the bike up. That used to be common knowledge, but ain't nuthin common anymore, and common sence seems to be extinct. For the past several years I have seen a lot of riders straddle their bikes with the side stand UP, which just makes no sence what so ever. I have no idea what kind of fire you are tawkin' about. And or on what bike. I just hope I didn't discribe what your problem began with 'IF' you had a problem at all. Because of fashion, women tend to have more fire problems than men, due to clothing, under clothing, and failing to get the bike/car/truck grounded along with themselves. Women tend to get back in a vehical with the gas pump running when that is possible, and then many women will not touch the body of the vehical before pumping fuel, which grounds cars and trucks first. Just sayin'.

This is kinda a bogus post.
Monica comes on here with 3 posts and titles a post Nomad burst into Flames? You would think a Nomad had actually burst into flames. What the hell are you talking about Mon ???
