I always wondered how a rally in south Florida would do in February.

TRUE! I'm still trying to lose the weight I gained last time I was there.
But you do have to be careful, those LSP have no humor. On a two lane road that you could see 5 miles in any direction and they think 55 is a reasonable speed!

I imagine they'd be more pissing, moaning and OMGs up in here than you'd hear on a porn flick sound track.

it would be a nice break from winter but half the country would still be snowed
in and unable to ride there.

Trailer, in this instance it would not be frowned upon.

South Florida any time of the year sucks, lol. Come to the central part of Florida. At least we have a few hills and curves...not many but at least a few.

I'm up for anywhere. I'll be trailer trash in all probability.

An RT with a RDL and you'll trailer? You need to update your sig.

I think he is trailering because of his accident.
Probably not fully healed yet.

I don't know it was ever the intention that each region host a National rally but so far the rallies have all been held in a different region.

2009- Custer- North Central
2011- Maggie Valley- South East
2013- Estes Park- Southwest
2015- Eureka Springs- South Central

It has been suggested to keep this going, and personally I would like to see that continue.
It is certainly not up to me alone to decide.
Considering that the Canada East and North East U.S. usually have combined regional rallies
as do the Canada West and North West U.S. I'll consider them as one region.

I would like to see the rally be held in either the NW or NE region in 2017 and the other in 2019.
Each area has a lot to offer and although their locations will make for a long haul for a large number of members
I think it's doable and I like the idea.
I also think it is important that someone who is willing to help plan the rally live reasonably close to the chosen
location to provide some local knowledge and help make sure that things go smoothly.

I don't know about Custer but in 2011 both Todd and Amy were in the area and played a large roll in the rallies success.
The same in 2013 where Joel and Rod were in the area.
In 2015 myself, Mike and Tom were all close to Eureka Springs and able to assist when needed.

We will have more info soon but I expect the 2017 rally to be in either the NE or NW.
I hope wherever is chosen that many will take the time and spend the small fortune required to attend.

Being in the "center" of USA the ride to and from will be about equal. But, I do like the logic of going were we have not been before.

Trip and BudMan have mentioned that Estes Park is in the southwest. I've never been.

I wouldn't consider Estes Park in the southwestern United States.
But that doesn't change what VBA region it's in.
