From what I understand it was the Americans that had the chocolate, not the British ?
Chocolate would have been a luxury and I dont think the convoys were heavily laden with chocolate destined for the U.K ?

At least they were not fed greasy fish and chips and warm beer (g).

For what its worth my dad was in the British army and threw up everytime he was onboard ship.
Must have been the mutton and chocolate ?

Lucky for the crew there was chocolate, but it's scary to imagine airmen piloting a ship!

Our founding principles are about the best ideas humanity has come up w and are under assault every day. I've always been a fan of the British because of their discipline, tenacity, Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher and many other reasons. Both our nations could surely use someone like them right now. We take no ones oil...we buy it. Don't begrudge what we have and call it history. That's whiny and not very British

Well unfortunately I don't see anyone of even their caliber on the horizon.

You are what is called a motorcyclist
And I still respectfully disagree with your respectful disagreement. If all you do in your free time is ride, think about riding, talk about riding, etc, that's it right there. The vast majority of stereotypical "bikers" (what you guys are calling 1%ers) aren't as much into bikes as they are their Club (family). Ask any 1%er which comes first, his bike or his Club. I'll bet every one of them will say their Club/family comes first. That makes them Club members, NOT bikers (not saying one can't be both). They just happen to ride bikes.

BTW, not all 1%ers are long haired, dirty clothed, tattooed, rude, anti social, etc. Not all long haired, dirty clothed, tattooed anti socials are 1%ers.

You guys have been watching too many movies.

I have a goatee, torn up/faded clothes (they're clean), tattoos and I'm anti social. I also live and breathe bikes. I have two passions, Jesus and motorcycles (in that order). I'm also an upstanding, law abiding citizen (definitely a 99%er). I'm a biker but call me what you want.

1%ers will put club before even family. That's a bridge too far for me.

If it is OK with you I would like to call you "friend" and think of you as a motorcyclist

Well so much for wheel bearings and international mfg quality.

I have decided at this point that what it's REALLY ALL ABOUT is...

Faster Horses, Younger Women and More Money...

The only "real-fix", for the problems arising from the quest for faster women..more horse power and more money..would include...

Limited Capitolism...and Zelot'ly controlled...ZELOT'S ! of all flavors !

...And Continued ..PASSION... for or against.....it's all good --under the right's, protection & guarantee's, of The US Constitution !
