Seat Heat shield

Has anyone seen a heat shield that goes under the seat and under your legs to fit a 1700 Nomad? I have seen one on the net to fit a Harley but not a Nomad. I had the updates installed on my 2009 1700 Nomad but the seat still gets very hot. Not comfortable if you know what I mean.

Nope, in fact I think this is the first time this question has been asked here.

Seat Heat shield

I've never had a heat shield to nock the heat off so I don't if I would now how to act with one so I just ride faster and try not to stop if I don't have to .

Seat Heat shield

So are you talking about under the motorycycle seat or your bu . . seat?
Perhaps the insulation "blankets" that have foil like metal on one side would act like a heat shield for under the moto seat.

I would opt for the sheepskin cover.

Seat Heat shield

My buddy has a '06 Road Glide and has a smoked plexi or lexan shield that goes under the seat and is supposed to shield him from engine heat. I have also seen them that are basically a leather flap that hangs down below the front of the seat to protect the rider from the rear cylinder heat.

My tank gets so hot at the seat that I can feel it burning my inner legs, but I figure that's just riding in Phoenix in the summer.

Seat Heat shield

My lambskin seat cover solved that problem for me. It has flaps that hang down between my legs slightly, just enough to channel heat from the rear cylinder up and away from my legs, and it drapes over the tank slightly so at least I don't get the heat from the tank any more.

The old biker who fabricated it for me really knew his stuff about keeping heat away from legs .
