Spots are Kawa F&S that I bought new off eBay for $232. Got them wired directly to the battery with a relay & 10amp fuse following Gadget's instructions.

No problem with blown fuses.

I don't know about earlier Nomad models but the alternator on my 06 seems plenty strong. I put my voltmeter across the battery with the 55W spots off and on and there is only a minor difference and my LED voltmeter on the handlebar continues to glow green.

Note that in the ad for the bulbs (top right corner), shipping was $8.50. However, they sent them Priority Mail and I had them in about four days.

I got the spots and brackets from CWI too. Then just replaced the white for a pair of amber. I think they are great. No problems and I most always ride with them on. BnG

? about the 4411A sealed beam spot lights

Hey Guys...

What is the purpose of the Yellow Lights? Varying degrees of light? Fog?? Easier for cars to spot? Obviously the yellow light does not light up the night for driving?

OR

Is this a better alternative??

DaBull: i bought a whole Cobra light bar set-up(threw away the cheesy stock bar) and I really like the set-up. the spots are only 25W non-sealed beam. But WOW are they bright and no water gets into them at all. Only have burnt out 2 elements in about 2 yrs. Elelments cost about $8-9 bucks. I think white will shine furhter at night. Amber more in fog, low-light, rain, etc.

I figure they are easier for cars to spot. I'm rarely out at night so I'm not concerned about ambers being a little less bright. My concern is being seen during the day and I think my two 50W ambers coming down the road are going to be noticed more than white lights just because they're different.
