First Two Days

Crystal, Gene and I left Greenwood about 7:30 Sunday morning.
The rain held off except for a little drizzle.
By noon it was sunny and warm but windy.
We got to Natchez about 5:30 and met up with Ray.
He said he road through a lot of rain and wind Saturday.
We rolled out about 7:00 trying to beat the rain. We were ahead of the strong storms
but it was still raining. The sun came out and we stopped for breakfast about 9:30.
We found the rain again. Crystal and I decided to wait it out in Lucedale.
Ray and Gene are tough and they kept going.
We made it to Pensacola and met Ray and Gene for dinner at McGuires.
Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow but the chances should lessen as we head east.

I was wondering if you were getting hammered by that storm Monday morning bearing down on Natchez. You all have fun and be safe.

My wife disagrees. And since I'm riding with her, heavy rain and poor visibility is a problem.

Annette doesn't like riding in heavy rain either; and I'm not a big fan of it myself, even though it's not nearly as nerve racking as it was about 10 year ago. Be safe!!

I'm on the road in the morning fellas, and they calling for rain. The storm is speeding up and slowing down and with a little luck I can miss most of it. I'm going to visit my Dad in Macon, GA tomorrow and stay over night and then back on the road again to St.Augustine.

So I'll see y'all in a couple days!

I can't believe it's finally time!

I can't change the thread title but here's an update.
Day three we left out of Pensacola about 8:30.
We went out on the island and headed east.
The weather was perfect and the view was terrific.
We got back on US 98 east and rode through Destin and Pamama City.
It was slow going with all the traffic and stop lights. But it was a good ride.
We finally made it to Lake City about 30 minutes before dark.
Today we left about 9:00 and rode the 100 miles to St. Augustine. Headed to the beach now.
We'll keep an eye out for Mike.
There is a bar two doors down. Crystal and I are planning a lengthly visit tonight.
