Anybody have one of these helmets?

I just stumbled across this HJC AC-2M Kawasaki Vulcan MC-5 helmet the other day. I was thinking about getting one, but wanted to see if anybody else owned one and what your thoughts were. They are being discontinued, so I need to act quickly if I want to get one.

Unlike another popular brand of motorcycle that's been around for 105 years, you don't often find merchandise with the Vulcan or Nomad logo. I just thought I'd like to have one.

Anybody have one of these helmets?

Hey C.J.
Where did you see this helmet? I think it's very cool and if the price is right wouldn't mind picking one up myself. I've never seen any of the other bike manufacturer have helmets with their logo or name on it. Geeze ! Orange County Choppers and Harley Davidson to a lesser degree, have their name on just about everything and anything but I have never seen it on a helmet.
I just Googled it and found a lot of online shops have these listed at an average price of $112.00 They sound good to me and I think I'll order one. Nice just to have, but an extra accent to the Vulcans we ride.
Thanks for posting this. I'm sure there'll be a bunch of KawaNow people interested.
Cheers
Rickyboy

Anybody have one of these helmets?

I got them for really long rides, but we don't wear them...our other helmets are "cooler"

I've worn it for two rides in 40 degree weather and it was a good helmet from what I remember - maybe I'll pull it out and look at it again..

Sorry for the incomplete review, but that's the result of having 3 full-face and 3 half helmets each

My wife says that I have too many helmets already or I'd be looking at buying one.

It looks pretty good and I already have 2 HJC helmets that are good quality.

I found these on E-Bay as low as $83.69. Look for item # 250239162065, or the seller is "Rider Direct".

looks like my silver HJC with a different color scheme. Good helmet overall. I like the removable liner and zip-off ear laps.

I have that very helmet, but not in flat black, mine is gloss. Has the Vulcan deal on it and everything. I like it very much.

For those who own this helmet, how effective are the air vents?

If I was going half, I'd get one of these: http://www.shoei-helmets.com/road/helmets_road.aspx?h=8

That's a nice helmet. Obviously, on the upper end of the scal for a half helmet, but it is a Shoei. To be honest, I've never worn a helmet where I could tell if the vent(s) are open or not. It might just be me, but I don't think they make a big difference.

I don't think I'd wear a half one anyway, but if I did, I'd want it to be a good one.
