Pick up a 2' or 3' length of 3/8" all thread and 4 3/8" nuts. Also, a 6" long 1/2" pipe nipple and a 3/8" fender washer. Double the nuts on one end and tighten them against eachother. Slide the pipe nipple on the other end and fender washer after. Double nut the opposite end and you now have a slide hammer. Slide the first double nutted end into the baffle about 7 - 8 " until the feel the nut get hooked onto the end of the baffle. Use the pipe nipple as a battering ram against the fender washer and double nuts on the opposite end. This is a last resort if the vise grips don't work. Be careful not to pinch the heel of your hand between the fender washer and the end of the pipe nipple. That hurts!!

Pros...

Inexpensive.
Slightly deeper tone, not significantly louder if at all.
It did not affect performance at all. (worse or better)
It does sound better than stock.

Cons...

Need a welder to reverse procedure, with may lead to bluing of chrome. Haven't heard of anyone putting them back in.
Mawkaw may give you a hard time for warranty work. I was told by mechanic upon delivery that it would void warranty. Then in the same breath he said that they could install baggers and TFI for mucho money without affecting warranty. I said no thanks. I'd rather do it myself. I've never heard of any warranty claims that weren't honored due to de-baffle.
Law enforcement may give you a hard time. But I doubt it cause it's not very loud, which brings me to where I'm at.

I'm wanting V&H baggers now. Others are perfectly happy with the de-baffled stock exhaust.
