SOA and TWD

Anyone here watch Sons of Anarchy and/or The Walking Dead? This week was a bad week for Bobs. One got BBQ'd and the other got something else. Or should I say lost something else. It's always the nicer idiots that get it. The pricks somehow stay alive. Personally, I can't wait until Gemma and Jax get a dirt nap. They deserve it. Actually all of them do on SOA or nearly all. As far as TWD goes, there will be dirt naps there too. I hope Gareth gets it good. Time for a ricktatorship.

I have seen every episode of SOA, I don't watch The Walking Dead. Only a few episodes left and things are about to get ugly.

I think there are 6 left. Bobby's dead I imagine. Holy shit, taking his right eye out with a pair of pliers. Jax doesn't know what and who he's dealing with, but Marks isn't bulletproof either, although it might be satisfying to break him up a bit first. It wouldn't be pretty, trust me. Then feed him to dogs. Jax is such an idiot though. Him and his mom, both.

I didn't see the preview. I assumed he was dead because of the patches in the box.

SOA is modeled on a Shakespearean tragedy, Hamlet. Jax is Prince Hamlet, and all the other club members and others represent characters in the Shakespeare play. Jax will die, violently, tragically, as a result of his own actions and choices. That's how Shakespeare tragedies always end. This same story could be set in the Old West or in outer space, it just happens that Kurt Sutter set it in the world of outlaw bikers.Just enjoy the ride.

I know, but sutter has also said he might not follow it to the letter, so who knows. If it does, Gemma will die before he does, IIRC. In fact, a lot of people die in Hamlet in the end.

I saw that now. It's doesn't look good though. There was a pic of Gemma putting someone's head in a toilet too. I guess I'll see it next week.

We watch SOA weekly. Might be time to start binge-watching TWD.

Haven't seen the SOA yet, I just watched two episodes of TWD. Ehh. Maybe if you
start at the beginning and follow it, rather then just jumping in, it would be better.

It would help seeing it from the beginning. You could read the plot arc on Wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wal...ead_(TV_series)

Read the season overviews.

Anyone watch Boardwalk Empire? Saw the first season on disc, then got HBO a few months ago. Looking for season 2 and 3 before watching 4 and 5. How about Ray Donovan? That show is like Dennis Lehane crossed with Raymond Chandler. Poor choices and bad behavior in spades, but the cast is great.
