A couple meets

Rode to Chicago this weekend to see family and along the way met up with DR Roos for a couple hours. Today met up with rayski and his woman. Rode around for about 6 hrs or so and saw some neat stuff. Great two days seeing two great buddies

No he never traded the Nomad in. He did however buy a new Voyager that he hopes to pick next week or so in the next state.

Thanks Dave yes it was a good time spent with Ray and his woman. Don't get to spend much time with him when we see each other at rallies so it was good. Will spend the day celebrating, like he put it, his double digit birthday and head home tomorrow. Enjoy your Sunday

Yes it is. It was built in 1853 and closed in 2002. The opener of the Blues Brothers was taken here. Here is a link to the place.

Ray and I when we met up we were trying to decide where we wanted to ride and we talked about riding up and seeing you. But we figured with the nice temps we would get there and you would be nowhere to be found so instead we pat pat around here instead. Next time we are around we will arrange to meet and ride.....and maybe get those other two from the great white too

I didn't ride on Sunday (spring cleaned my garage -- what a mess); and had to work all day Saturday.

However, if it you guys would have called on Sunday, I could always clean my garage another day!

Call when ever you are around, just in case I can break loose. You just never know. I know the ride from Ray's to here would have been nearly two hours though; but we could always meet half-way.

The old Joliet penitentiary is a damn scary building when you read about its long history and all the criminals who have spent time there or were put to death. I thought they were going to tear it down, and actually thought they might have already. I will have to cruise by it one more time before they decide to do that.

Hey Greg, Ray took his phone out to contact you and we started to talk and just came to the conclusion that you were surely out riding and so we abandoned the idea. On the prison I thought I had heard that it was being or is a historical building so I had no idea that they were considering demolishing it.
Mike, yeah that's a classic. Years a go there was a guy I knew that had a t-shirt with saying on it.
Doyle, like wise. I am home now but it was a very windy 340mile ride home

Denny, you should make a run down there one of these days and check it out. Its one hellish looking structure.
