So , I've been told two different part numbers . 11-1145 AND 11-1126 . Can anyone verify which one I need to order .

Update from the techs at progressive that there are no springs available for my bike , so I will be ordering new oem springs and changing the seals and bushings . I will be adding 20w oil instead of the stock 10w . Hopefully this will take out most of the spongy feeling I'm experiencing .

Any comments on my soon to be shop work is welcome .

You can use 1145's but it takes a little work to install them.

Thanks skiman , very good reading here . I'm presently working with someone who is a guru with bikes and will do the job for me . I will definitely show him gadgets web page and see if he's up to the task .
I greatly appreciate your input . There is a lot positive feedback about progressive springs
that I just wanted to be a part of the experience

I used the 1145's with a 1" spacer, it was no different than installing the original springs. My 02 has the cartridge style forks.

Have you considered checking with Racetec? They have a product that is tunable or adjustable.

http://www.racetech.com/

Call them and tell them what you are looking for in the ride quality. They can advise you how to set up the suspension.

I did the same thing.

It was one of the best things I ever did to this bike.

Thanks very much guys for all the responses . This does help with my decision to order the 11-1145 springs .
I've decided to tackle the job in the fall when the season is over . Then I can tear every down and replace the steering bearings as well ( all balls ) . I going to need to replace the front tire as well . So might as well save some money and do the dismantle myself .

You guys rock and so does this forum !!

Thank-you for the post snake . I'll do some research on these as well . I've always preferred to call and get first hand info on stuff I order . Appreciate the help

Now you need to make the big decision on Fork Oil. All fork oils are not created equal.

This explains it:

Wow , Great reading but before I rack my brain I'll ask what others used and tell me what they think . At this point anything I use will end up being better than what's in there now .

I don't plan on it . The guy rebuilding my forks is a retired HD tech and is now a manager of a local shop . I'll let him decide what I should use .
I'm just giving him my bike towards the end of the season to get everything done .

I did my entire suspension this spring. So glad I finally got around to doing it. Ever since adding the fairing, stereo, amp, lights, etc it's added additional weight to the front end and it dove like a SOB on braking. Now, nice and level and much better on a curve.

Glad to hear your happy with the results . I can't wait til I get mine done . It really dives when I break . I'm looking forward to a more solid ride . This winter I'm adding 412hd 13" to the rear . Hopefully by next season I'll have all my regular maintenance done .

Ride safe !!
