Chucks son in Pocatello udpate 8-14

After some research I finally found an obit for Chuck that named his son here in Pocatello. Looked him up in the phone book and found his house last week while he was still in Texas for his father's funeral. I stopped in to visit him this evening and pay my respects and offer my sympathies. Michael was absolutely amazed at the outpouring from motorcycle clubs including KawaNOW. He has heard from hundreds of people he does not know and his dad never met face to face. I believe it really helped him deal with his loss. Thank you all, you are wonderful people.

Let me say thanks for doing what you did! I didn't get to meet Michael when he was here in Texas, but I did meet his other family. You have helped put KawaNOW on the map.

I will check with Michael to see if I can get an answer. As far as KawaNOW goes, trust me, he was well aware of us before I showed up.

I left a phone message but have not heard back. He may be gone to NC. I will swing by this afternoon.

I spoke with Chuck's daughter in law today and they have not set a date for the NC service. Chuck was cremated so there is no hurry. They may decide to do it on labor day weekend but she did not know if they are going to want it to be a private family affair. She will let me know one way or another as soon as the family makes a decision and I will pass the info on here.

We just need to let the family have a little space right now and be patient.

Idaho... that's a great thing you did there bud!!! I know you did it out of kindness and respect, and that's a really honorable thing!!! I'm sure Chuck looked down on your meeting with a huge smile and content heart!!

Mike called me yesterday to let me know that the family still has not settled on a date or whether the service will be private. He will let me know as soon as they make a decision and I will get it posted here.
