Paint Repair

I guess all of us have problems with paint chips, and i'm sure all of us are fussy about the looks of our scooters. I recently brought home a nice chip on my front fender and thought I would share my repair method. First take touch up paint and touch up the chip, be careful to cover the outside edge. Let this dry and cover it again because the paint will shrink when it dries. you may have to do it three times just so the end result is that the paint is a bit higher than the original. When it is fully dry take a soft cloth and stretch it over a sheetrock sponge use a good spray wax and buff it down till it is even again. The reason I use a sheetrock sponge is because it conforms to the shape of the part you are buffing. You can come close to the factory paint. Hope this helps.

Paint Repair

Thanks for the tip, I chipped my tank by dropping a screwdriver on it while removing my fairing. I filled the chip with paint but was wondering how to level it, Now I know, Thanks again!
