Cooler Helmets ? - Page 2

TC- I had a full face (spare) until I lost it last weekend. It was noisy like you said. Almost needed earplugs with it.

CJ- One thing I haven't done is to slide open the the vent panel at the bottom of the windshield - on my way to the garage now...

Several companies make half helmets including HJC. I have an HJC half helmet but never wear it since I bought the HJC IS-33. I don't really notice the heat when riding. It does have the two little vents on the top front and guess they help circulate some air.

I normally wear an HJC half helmet but after my face got sun burned I switched to my HJC modular full face.It doesn't seem any hotter if I raise the visor up a little.It keeps the hot air blast off my face which to me is somewhat more comfortable.

A white or silver helmet will reflect more heat than a darker colored helmet. Half helmets are already one of the cooler ones compared to a full face, even without the vents.

I don't like the heat or for that matter the sun. I wear a half when its hot and its silver to reflect the sun, OH, it also matches by bike too :)
