Deer Season!

Just got back form a nice 100 mile ride through Amsih country, mid Ohio. I'm always cautious watching for buggys, tourists, and the occasional "animal". Today at high noon, after cresting a hill and heading into a downward left hander, I spotted a deer running full tilt along a tree line heading across the road 100 yards ahead of me. I down shifted and got on the brake just as the second popped put of the woods directly in front of me. I still had enough time to avoid any dangerous situation, but darn if those things don't always pop up when I'm not in my tree stand:) Always remeber when you see one, others are certain to be nearby.

Good reminder, there's a patch of woods about a mile from my house that is notorious for deer. I always make a point of being extra careful and vigilant, on the bike or in the cage.

Every season is deer season. And, yes they travel in packs. If one exits the road to the right look to the left for the next one.

Ive only seen them here out in the fields here lately. But even yet I keep a close eye out in certain areas.
