True Story

I recently took my bike up to the shop for service. The tech mentioned my rear brake pads were down to about 10%, but he had to order them as he did not have them in stock. He called to let me know they were in and if I stopped by he would throw them on while I waited. I know...I should be able to do this stuff myself...but a wrench I am not... :-/.

So anyways...I ride up there after work yesterday and as I'm pulling in, I see a pick-up truck with a Harley Heritage Softail with big ape hangers in the back of it. In the truck are two members of a local MC club. I know this because I have seen these two fellas at the shop before and they are wearing their colors.

They are backing into the one place where bikes get into the shop to unload it when the shop owner waves them off, pointing to my bike and saying he has to get mine in there first. The boys look over at my bike and one of them says "That ain't a Harley". The shop owner tells them to be nice..... ::).....

I could not help myself and followed up with "Nope, it ain't a Harley...and that's why it ain't in the back of a pick-up truck... ." Sensing I may have just caused myself some serious grief...I smiled and gave them my best "aw shucks" look. They looked at me and one of them says..."Man....I got nothin'..... ." I said "It's all good fellas...I'm just joshing you".... ;).

Once my bike was up on the rack and the tech was working on it, one of them came over to give me a closer look as I had on my leathers with my KawaNOW patch. I was friendly to him as he was in return. Once he gave me a good lookover and realized I was no threat, I was off the hook....(I hope....) .

They put their pants on just like you. Only you put one leg in at a time. They jump into their both legs at once from trees or whatever.

Easy now BD...

Kris... don't know the colors you were speaking of, but if they were of the few I am thinking they were, you might have been pushing the edge

But then again... no true 1%'er would be caught dead riding a Heritage Softail from what I have been told... so they were likely embarassed to be seen with one.

You should have asked them which one owned the softail. I'll bet you they would have lied and said it was their girlfriend's or something... anything but their's
