07 NOMAD FOR SALE

Oldbiker,

Best wishes with the sale of your bike. I hope it's not for health reasons that you are selling.

Kind regards,
John

No health problems. Going to get away from cruisers and buy a big tour bike. Goldwing or Ultra Classic.

Dan, The Nomad is a big cruiser. A big tour bike has a big plush passenger and rider seat, electronic cruise, stereo, cup holders, passenger armests and various other comfort items. Buy the time I add all of this to a Nomad I'll have the same ammount of money invested as I would have with a factory tour bike. Compare a Goldwing or Ultra Classic to a Nomad and you'll see the difference immediately.

My neighbour had a Goldwing, and two Ultra's. He says for absolute comfort in the saddle and long distance riding the Wing was the best bike he ever owned. He liked the Ultra's but he traded in on a Roadking, he wanted a lighter bike, since he doesn't travel that much anymore.

Buy the Ultra - then you won't have to deal with a Speed-O-Healer.

I understand your reasons Oldbiker. I came with 10 minutes of signing papers for a 2006 Gold wing. Had my helmet in my hand. Just kept thinking about wanting a V-TWIN for awhile. Maybe gold wing later. Good luck and stay with us on KawaNOW to let us know how things are working out?

I just read some info on the new 2009 Goldwing. 2000cc -6 cylinder, with 165 HP stock. I think a GW will be in my future someday. Not that I am in any hurry to replace the Nomad.

I've ridden the 1800 Goldwing, and ridden it very aggressively. It was a sport bike dressed up like an old man :)

I would have one too, if I wasn't so vain and shallow.

Looks still matters to me, and the Nomad is just plain better looking to me. I'm giving up some power and plushness, for looks.

Then again, the Nomad is safer. The Goldwing ride I took was a demo ride. I took the I-80 to I-15 northbound on ramp at 110mph on the Goldwing, I'd never do that on the Nomad. Perhaps I'll have the maturity to ride a Goldwing, once I'm old enough to look like I belong on it.

Not in Denver, you didn't. You must have been in Salt Lake? That's the only place I'm aware of where I-80 and I-15 intersect.

I have a buddy who is 41 or so, he rides a Goldwing and takes a lot of abuse from the rest of us for doing so. You'd have to know him to understand. It's not just a Goldwing, it's a 1985 GW.
