What was I thinking?!

I rode to work yesterday, then went out for lunch, and rode home after work. I swear I could feel the tires melting underneath me yesterday after work. High temp was 111 here in Tulsa, OK. Then, after I got home, I had to replace all 3 belts in my Mitsibitchy Montero Sport. That thing has NO room to work in and the belts were giving me fits! I couldn't get the new belts on to save my life. Took me about 3-3.5 hrs to take the old belts off and the new belts on! Finally got them finished at 10 pm and it was still 100 degrees out.

We've had nothing but 104+ high temps for about the last 4 weeks! Well, yesterday on my way home, we topped out at 111! Today, we are supposed to hit 114-116, which could set a new record in Tulsa (previous was 115 in 1930 something). So, I don't think I'll be riding much until the temps drop below 104 again. It's just way too hot!

It was 113 here yesterday. I didn't ride at all. I drove my truck with a broken a/c. Yes, it was still hot, but at least I wasn't sitting on top of the engine. a/c is getting fixed tonight!

I thought we had it bad here with 95 degree temps.

Just over 96 at present time here in North Alabama. When I came online Weatherbug said it was 96.3. Some places in my part of Alabama will hit 100 or more.

It was in the 90's here yesterday but with todays rain its barely 80 out today.

At the moment it is 99* with 54% humidity. This brings the heat index to 118*. We nearly set a record for total rainfall for July. 13.14" for the month. I'd gladly share some of this with you guys that need the rain.

If 95 is bad I should have a breeze driving thru Utah and Nevada then. Probably have some frost bite by the time I hit Crescent City with temps in the low 60's.

Ya, but watch out for the weekend as we are supposed to hit the mid 90's again. Not to bad as long as there is a wind. You know you are getting used to the heat when you have to think about a jacket at 60*.

Haven't had the bike out in a month. :-[ Weather has been too miserable.

But October is coming, and the weather will get better.
