Talimena Rally Almost Here!!!!

Well its almost time, just a tick over 2 weeks!! I am stoked!! We have 2 great rides planned, each over 200 miles. On the Talimena ride I have rented the Heritage room at Queen Wilhemina lodge, so we are guaranteed seating, and on the Runestone ride we will be having lunch at the Southern Belle, a rail car turned restaurant. Then on Barbeque day, I will fire up 2 smokers to handle the meats, we have over 20lbs of brisket, over 20lbs of pulled pork, 20lbs of chicken, i will be making a huge pot of deer chilli, sweet beans, jalapeno beans, potato salad and more!!!. On the day of the barbeque, you have a choice of riding to the casino to try a little luck! or directly across the street from the motel the "Fabulous" Antlers Deer Festival will be in full swing, and if none of these events suit your fancy, a day to do what you want. Dont forget we will have a meet and greet on the 29th as everyone arrives, and we will be serving all sorts of snacks. Cant wait to see everyone

This will be the best one yet, glad to see it growing each year. I am already planning for next year, some new surprises are in store for that one

As I posted in a different thread, I'm not going to be able to attend this event. Between not having enough time off and having a mandatory event with BACA on Saturday, I can't get everything to work out right...again. I'm really sorry folks. I'm hoping in the near future to not have this problem, but this has been a very stressful year.

Sorry you are not going to make it Jeff. Rick was thinking of riding down Wednesday and going back home Saturday but that a long ride for just a couple of days. We will be leaving in about 26/27 hours. Plan to stay tomorrow night somewhere between Neosho, MO and Siloam Springs, AR. Then this time coming down OK hwy 59. Last year we rode AR hwy 59 which was a nice ride but we try to travel on different roads each trip if possible.

So today is get ready day. Do a little laundry, mow the grass, pack the bags, etc. It is supposed to be around 48 degrees here in the morning so I will get the highway bar chaps on the bikes also. We will have to pack some cloths for the colder temps and then be ready for the 80 degrees down there. It doesent matter, you all know any day riding is a great day.

We should be there shortly after lunch on Wednesday so we will see everyone then.
