Accent rail that fits the Harley-Davidson King Tour-Pack. Part No. 53667-89A.

I know there's at least a couple guys that put HD trunks on- perhaps you'd be interested in this. I bought it with the intention of installing it on a Scootworks trunk- but the Scootworks trunk is not quite the same dimensions as the HD, so it won't fit.

This may also fit the Premeaux trunk- not sure, though.

Brand new in original box, includes hardware, etc., etc.

EDITED: Bill... I am having a difficult time determining if it will work on my bike. I may not know until tomorrow. I have to talk to the dealer first; as this may not fit my trunk (there are a few exceptions where it doesn't fit).

Can you tell me... do you have to drill holes to mount this rail?

Yes, you would have to drill the holes- or I would certainly assume so, as I've never seen an HD trunk with 'plugs' in the sides where the bolts for this rail would go....

It would be interesting to know in which situations it won't fit a particular HD trunk. In the case of the Scootworks trunk, the trunk is about two inches too narrow. In other words, the rail is too wide for the Scootworks trunk.

But you ain't got no cheap-ass Scootworks junk, so carry on!!! lol

Ha!! Well... from what I can tell there are potentially two problems... the first being that they have come up with a redesigned HD tour-pak that started in 2009. I think mine has the newer version. Also... there was something about the liner of the trunk possibly being a problem. Mine has the factory liner in it.

Now... I am not sure specifically about these two issues... but I recall reading about this; and the HD site is not specific on this part fitting an '09 and up. I know it does not fit a 2010 for some reason... at least that is what the site said.

I will check with the dealer to see which trunk I have and let you know though if someone else hasn't bellied-up to take it.

I'm not sure the Scootworks trunk is smaller than the HD trunk. It's possible that the rail is designed to fit the HD trunk with the light kit, which may account for the additional width.

Just guessing here that may be the case.

CJ.... you're right. I just got done checking the HD assessories catalog they sent me. (820 pages long... so it took me awhile to nail it down.)

It looks like this is going to fit just fine on my trunk. The issue I was confused on had something to do with the light-kit I have... and it is designed to fit around it just fine.

So... Bill... I want the rail as you priced it. Let me know how to transact this deal. I assume you have the box, instuctions and all the parts for it... right?

That rail will look really good on your bike Gregg, especially since you have the lights in the beerbox.

I have most all the other rails on the bike... around the bags, and the luggage rack on top with the LED light in it. This trunk rail will be just what I need to finish off that part of the wish-list.

Just wanted to mention I recieved the tour-pak guard-rail yesterday from Bill; and that it was exactly what Bill said it was.

I know a lot of the time no one knows how these "deals" work out among us.

Well; be assured Bill delivered what he said he had at a more than fair price; and I am satisfied.
