On the trail, it might be different standing on the pegs and running in third gear without red lights and crosswalks. But the search is half the fun of the whole thing.
Even on the street I rev my RT a lot higher than you probably do with your Nomad and higher than I did with mine and there are times I take to near redline (8000 RPM) when I am looking for maximum scoot. Ride a bike like the wee or mine at 2-3000 rpm and it'll been a slug. My guess is that for normal cruising, the Wee likes 4-5000 rpm like my RT.

Found a black '93 Honda Nighthawk 750 in great shape, 44k mi, all stock, a Givi windshield, new tires and recent carb overhaul, and got it for a good price. Two bike owner now! I like it for its lightweight, good power, nimble, easy to ride. I wish it had a six-speed, it's geared kinda short. I may change sprockets, we'll see. I've already debaffled the stock pipe, its nice and growly now, and wrapped the grips with bicycle bar tape.

Finding having (4) four Motorcycles is about all I can find the time to ride -- I use the Burgan 650 Executive for the shorter rides and around Town as it is so light and yet nimble and quick

http://goo.gl/GlcC2T

Have a ST1300 Police Special with solo Saddle -- Wife calls it my freedom Machine. It is a great handling Motorcycle yet has storage and crash bars to protect for a tip overs
.

My Nomad Motorcycle is great for those laid back easy cruising days whether one or two up -- besides it is the Motorcycle many think is the best looking.

http://goo.gl/AjI2ko

My Goldwing has to be the best two up Motorcycle invented for those long Tours be it long weekend or coast to coast -- yes mine has over 140,000 and has never run better.

Just click the links to see the pictures to prove yes it did happen.

Northern Dancer,

Regards,

Ron

So, Ron, you've got me intrigued by the ST. Looks nice especially with the solo seat setup. Is it an actual police bike that you picked up second hand?

Ron, I gotta ask, what is that sticking up behind the passenger seat?
Looks like a windshield of some sort.
What is its purpose?

Yeah, it looks like a ST1300P. It's a popular authority bike as is the R1200RT-P. I see them all the time down here.

Stop back draft I imagine. My brothers gw has quite a noticeable draft from the rear at speed. His cure is to make sure he brings his wife on cool days.
