Not doubting the story but how can the videographer tell who's driving the cop car? Probably not a great idea to chase a cop car, either.

I would guess the audio with the officer's name was added after the
incident was reported and he was identified. ???

The cop car has a plate and the identity ascertained after the fact.

The cop should be charged with reckless endangerment or aggravated assault. Doesn't the Florida Highway Patrol have better things to do than chase down toll booth violators, like maybe busting kids shoplifting pixie sticks from the 7-11? I thought most toll booths have a camera to record license plates?

The article said something about that he has a boner for motorcyclists. Whatever the case, he's been held accountable on video, now lets see what they do about it. In some places, they'd give the motorcyclists a colonoscopy and pile some charges to try to discourage a civil suit. All I can say is that we gotta problem.

The video is too short to know the whole story. What happened before the squeeze and after? It is probable that the video has been edited to only show what the photographer wanted to show. Why was the bike on the shoulder? No cars in front to be trying to get around, was he stopping till he thought he was being pinned? What happened before, was he riding in a manner that endangered the lives of others in an effort to get away? Text says the cop tried to flee, huh? The bike gets past the car, speeds up and so does the cop car presumably in chase again but the tap is cut.
Just saying based on that bit of tape, it is not possible to say who is the real villain here.

In practice, meaning in courts, the opposite is true. Cops get away with all sorts of shit. It's just that in the last year or two more people are pushing back as it's getting to be too much. The sad thing is that most cops are good, but they won't police their own.
