Darkside Info?

Hey all
my buddy has a 09 Harley Dynaglide
and was wanting to go with a CT.
Is there anywhere he could go to see what size CT he would need?

All the info he needs is right here: http://forums.delphiforums.com/DarkSiding

He probably won't get much love on a Harley forum with this topic, most of those guys aren't real keen on the idea of putting a car tire on a bike.

I find that most people who like the idea have actually tried it, while those who explain why it won't work well, never have.

I have it. I like it.

http://darkside.nwff.info/?p=tires

I wore out two DS tires and have now gone back to a bike tire.

But being in south FL, now I'm reconsidering putting a car tire on. All the flat straight roads here would be perfect. But when I was in NC and riding in the mountains regularly, the bike tire outperforms the car tire.

I tried using the chart at the link above to size a CT for my girlfriend's bike. It went on easy enough, but the bead wouldn't seat evenly around the rim. You'd get one side under and the other side would bulge out. Ended up getting MC tire for it instead. Just saying.........it's not always accurate. I'd have him try to get with somebody (real time) that's already running something that works.

I'm getting ready to change out my CT on the Nomad. Got 22,000 miles on it and there's still some tread left.

P.S. if anybody knows someone that wants a brand spanky new General Altimax 195/65/15 let me know. I'd give it away just to get rid of it. :)

Try this option.....you need to know the current bike tire size.

I saw a FXDL listed, which is a dyna lowrider?? It has a 175/55/17 Bridgestone. Put those in the dimension comparison and that's a start. Again, it will take a little research and fact gathering to come up with the right tire. Tell your buddy Good luck and have fun with it!!
