I was hoping to hear from him also. I hope the ride home wasn't too painful.

Sorry - I missed this thread.

I made it home a little worse for the wear last Friday. The bike ran great, but my rib muscles were complaining all the way back. It was a long journey.

Thanks everyone for the help after the accident, and for your concern. It was a pleasure to meet you all.

Hey Brent, Glad you made it home safe and sound. You certainly had us concerned about you. Remember when I told you that afternoon on the side of the highway that you would be hurting the next day? Bruised or broken ribs are pure hell. Don't ask me how I know this....

Glad you made it home. An 800 mile trip with rib problems would be a long journey indeed.

Hi Oldbiker,

I didn't stop for a mirror - the one Dan rigged up for me from the dollar store makeup mirror combined with the replacement holder Wanderer just happened to have to lend me worked perfectly. Which is good, 'cause I just wanted to get home. I'll order replacement stuff all at once from Sam at Smith Bros. in Arkansas (great place to get parts, by the way).

Thanks again for your help after the spill - the sight of you gently leading me back to Custer through the rain and hail will be with me forever.

Brent:
Glad to hear you made it home alright, sore ribs and all. Just keep the shiney side up and the rubber on the road and you will be just fine. Have a great summer!!

Hey Brent,
It was pleasure to meet you. I am impressed with your tenacity and stamina. As many long days as I put in don't hold a candle to riding with broken ribs. Very happy to know that you are safe and sound.
Be well,
Idaho

Brent, Glad to hear you made it back okay. Must have been a tough ride. Like CJ says, don't feel too bad about it, many if not most of us have been there or awful close.

Hey Brent, I know this is a little late but I have only been home 2 days myself. I am very glad to hear you made it home safely. I am sure my sewing kit made all the difference in the world
Hope to see you again soon.
Charlie
