Just back from the Twisted Sisters

My son Richard, wife Cheryl, and I just got back from the Texas Hill Country. We rode about 500 miles all around Leakey area taking in the views and the curves. The weather was perfect.

Thanks to Taranis for the heads up on the cabins at Guadalupe River RV Park in Kerrville. They were perfect and the nicest cabins I have seen.

I regret we did not do the Hill Country with the Kawanow Group this year. Maybe we can get that going next year.

Just wanted to brag a little. Thanks for indulging me. :)

Sure wished we could have joined you guys. We had a great time last year on our first Hill Country trip. You're right Bill, we need to do it again next year.

Gina and I were just talking about how much we enjoyed the trip last year. Would definitely be interested in going back!
Remember, next spring is Margaritaville.

We rode this area the weekend after you Bill. It is very dry out there. We always enjoy our time and rides in this area. We are lucky to live so close to these great rides.

We lucked out and had perfect weather. Highs were in the 70's. This time we stayed in Kerrville which offers much more to eat and nicer accomodations. We are lucky to live close, you more so than me.. :)

The "three twisted sisters" refers to three different winding roads thru the middle of the Texas Hill Country. It is south of Kerrville Texas and many riders Headquarter out of Leakey, Texas.

Kawanow Founder, Trip, led some of us Kawanow riders thru the Sisters last year. In my opinion, it is the best riding in Texas.

If you need a tune up on counter steering, it is a great place to go in Texas. Unfortunately many bikers have lost their lives on the curves. It seems like most of my biker friends road the sisters this year.

Just back from the Twisted Sisters

Kathy and I just got back from the Hill Country. We left last Friday, May 28th and stayed in Kerrville for two nights. On Saturday, May 29th, I took Kathy on a small tour of the twisted sisters...although it was in the SUV, not on the Nomad.

I noticed while there that they've hardly had any rain... everything was dead or dried up. I hope they get some rain fairly soon.

With the heat we have had past week, the SUV would be my vehicle of choice. :)

The Hill Country is in a terrible drought. Austin area can't catch any rain either. Lake Travis is a way low.
