New style tail lights
I have an '06 1600 Nomad, can the 1700 new style tail light be installed on my bike? I really like that light assembly!!!

I don't know, but I ride a 1500 and want to change the look of my rear light sets as well. I have found some cool looks by searching google images. Now I just have to get around to getting it done. I will have to fab some brackets for the look I am going for.

I like the look of the 1700 tail light too, and with enough $$$ anything is possible, but It would probably be more feasible to adapt a 1700 fender onto the 1600 than to try to adapt the 1700 light onto the 1600, unless you know a good metal fabricator.

If you wanted to mod your fender the tail light parts would be over 500.00. You can take one off of a 1700 Nomad and try to make it work or as has been said try to put the fender on.

Just some information for those looking for used parts for your Nomad etc. I came across a guy out of Daytona FLA, his company is called Fallen Cycles. I think he sells mostly thru Ebay. If you scroll down thru his ads he lists his phone number.
Unfortunately he also has the right hand side only or a complete set. Cheers, |

I like the 1500 taillight a lot more than the 1600!
