Jay, it was good to see you and your father again. Thanks for posting some photos.

We had a great bunch of skilled-riders at this rally, and it was a pleasure to ride with them.

Also, for the record, since I was on my Spyder, Jay never waved at me
Sure, but I shook your hand a few times! Thanks for doing a great job leading

It is tough waving at him when he is always so far infront going 100mph....which was a good speed to keep the group moving

Thanks to all for putting on such a great rally. My kind of weekend, ride, eat, drink, sleep, repeat. I found some new roads made new friends and have a longer wish list for my Nomad, or should I just get a Vaquero... it never ends.

Well the last day of my rally experience wasn't exactly how I would chosen it to end. But I am still here and in one piece so that is all that matters. I also learned that I have some good friends in this group that were willing to help me out when I needed it. Thanks to Ray, Dave, Gibby, Denny and Sally, Cal, Doug, and Don for all your help. You guys are great and I hope someday I can help all of you in some way. Also thanks to all the people who wished me well which was virtually everyone. It was great rally and I hope to see you all at next year's rally.

Home safe

Martha and I made it home around 9:30 Sunday. We stopped in Mankato when the check engine light on the pickup came on and got to watch the Blue Angels perform. We had rain the last 150 miles.
We had a wonderful time and glad to hear everyone is making it home safe.
Thanks for a great rally.

Man, I sure was happy to see you back at the hotel already that evening! It was very scary hearing about an accident behind me and not knowing too much for awhile until the guys with you came back and gave an update to the rest of the group. Very glad you came through relatively "unscathed" I guess I would say, but I assume very sore...

Everyone was extremely happy to see you walking around later on Saturday.

You are one of the best riders around, which goes to show "things" can happen fast. Just real glad you are okay... sore maybe... but okay.

See you soon.

I am not home yet, as my journey continues to Wyoming. Stopped in Rapid City, SD last night. Will be riding to Mt. Rushmore & Crazyhorse today. Staying a mom & pop owned motel, he is riding with us on a bike he rode while in jr.high 1948 Pan Head. Should be a great time since he was raised in this area.

Hope the ride with your tour-guide was fun. Ummm... did the '48 Panhead make it, and without spraying your Nomad with oil?

There was a lot good times on this trip, everyday having a highlight or two! Thursdays highlight for me was meeting the people from theVBA since I joined in person, specially the first two people Dave “BiscuitandGravy” and Ross “Trosco” here in Ankeny where we started our trip! A few hours later the group we met in Anamosa! Fridays highlight was celebrating the lives of two peoples I have never met. Saturday’s highlight, and probably the highlight of the trip, was after we got back to our hotel from the ride we took that day. There was a handful of us standing in the parking lot talking about the day, when a person walked out the front door of the hotel. As usual I was running my mouth and when I saw this person, I stopped talking for a second and smiled like I had never smiled before. I turned and told the guys that there was stretch “Tim”. He was smiling and walking like nothing had happened. My buddy goes, “No way….that is not him”. BUT IT WAS!! After what had happened that day, that was the best sight EVER!! It still warms my heart thinking of that sight!

Thumbs Up

I have to agree with Rasta seeing Tim standing in the parking lot of the hotel on Saturday night was the highlight of my weekend.
