Rear Trunk for Nomad opinions

Looking at buying the rear trunk for the nomad. My only issue is it only comes in ebony black which is a gloss black. My Nomad is the matte black and white model.

I don't think it will look too bad but someone talk me out of it if it would.

Have it repainted to match.

Rattle can it yourself.
Matte black shouldn't be hard to match

Shouldn't be a problem to paint or have painted if you don't like the gloss. I've got the Kaw trunk/kit on my '011 Nomad. Pricey but I like it & would do it again for sure. It's really nice having factory parts & not having to fab up hardware for a generic or other brand trunk & I really like the brake light all the way across the rear!

VERY pricey but it would make it much more comfortable for the wife.

Does it push the passenger forward any? It would be great if it gives a little more room to the rear with how the passenger rest curves.

It would probably cost less than 500.00 to have a body shop color match it. I paid 500.00 to have my fairing 2 color matched and the inside painted.

It's been a few years since I had the Nomad back rest on. I asked my wife & she said she didn't think it pushed her forward any but really couldn't remember. I also got the Kaw driver's back rest. I don't like to ride without it but you can't use it unless your passenger is petite because there's not enough room between the DBR & trunk. IMO, you should go sit on a Voyager since it has the same trunk & compare to see if it works for you before you spend that much $. There is no forward/backward adjustment. All that said, I would buy it again!

It's a real nice kit, I bought one and fabbed it onto my Vaquero quick release backrest mounts. The wife loves it! I calling it my "Vaqoyager"
