Spoken like a real uninformed consumer Chris... You need to catch-up on your facts rather than repeat folklore and hearsay.

Just try buying parts for an HD without stating the year of the bike. You'll find plenty has changed through the years and many parts only fit bikes over a few year span -- despite they being the same model.

HD has managed to fool many people to believe nothing has changed on their models from year to year by keeping the overall appearance of their bikes looking the same; thus the uninformed just keep making these same lame comments.

How much has Victory changed their bike models since 2009? Ummm...

I agree that it's her bike so it should be what she wants. After all, she paid for it since you're retarded....er, I mean, retired.

Victory parts don't suck any more than Indian parts or BMW parts or Ducati parts. If you get a mainstream bike, expect mainstream parts/prices. If you get a unique bike, expect "unique" parts/prices. That said, no matter the reason, I agree that Vic parts are expensive. Good thing there are plenty of aftermarket vendors.

Probably not as many as you might think. We Victoryholics are a hardy bunch. We know that we have exclusive bikes which require exclusive parts.
He also bought them off eBay and the conditions were no returns. Had he bought them from a dealer or reputable third party retailer, such would not be the case. Of course research is paramount before spending such 'scarole, it's call due diligence.

For a Kawasaki Forum, we sure get our share of Victory talk around here. We even have our share of Vic lovers. There is one guy on here that even post the Victory logo as his signature. Wonder who that is

Tim, you say you bought the saddlebags on ebay and the seller won't give you a refund? I do a lot of buying/selliing on ebay. If the bags ae not as described you can call ebay and open a case against the seller. Ebay will contact the seller and go to bat for you to get you a return for refund . I have done this before and have had very good results. Ebay has a customer service # you can call to do this. Just google it.

Hey TC you may be able to return them anyway if you paid thru Paypal you can initiate a return and the seller will take them back. I did it with a cell phone that was supposed to be unlocked but couldn't be activated when I got it. He stated they would fit and they don't he gets them back.

Probably more informed than you think. I'd be willing to bet I can call any aftermarket exhaust manufacturer and order a pre-'09 exhaust for a "touring" bike and they will have the same part number. How about a windscreen for an Electra Glide? All of them with the 3 hole mount is the same (up to the new WaterHog, of course). The 88s, 96s, 103s? Each one has the been the same with very few (and very minor) changes. I could go on.

Victory has changed models much less than you think. A lot of their "new" bikes Ilike the Gunner) are just parts bin bikes so, when you order a front fender for a Boardwalk, you could just as easily order a front fender for a XR, XC or XCT of any year. All of the bikes now have the same powertrain (106/6) so, if you need an engine part for a '13 Vision, you can just as easily order that same part from an '11 Cross Country. All the body panels on any year Vision ('08-'14) will interchange as will 95% of the rest of the parts.

Don't think I'm stupid just because I don't have a coludge edumacation or drink the Harley Koolaid. You'd be surprised at the worthless trivia/knowledge floating around in my gray matter.

I don't know what my post has to do with your post, but...ok. Just because someone sells something on eBay, that doesn't mean it's not a reputable third party retailer or a dealer. There are a lot of top notch dealers that sell on eBay. Unless I missed a post (which is possible), I assume TC bought genuine X bike bags and all the related crap to bolt them on. I've seen BWs with those and the stock BW exhaust won't fit.

If you sell alot of bikes that take the same part, expect cheaper prices. If you sell very few bikes that take a certain part, expect higher prices.

I hope I've covered everything. At this point, I have no freakin' idea what the original question was (and stopped caring). I hope TC gets his problem fixed.
