If any critters are hanging out in the garage, they will leave.

Yeah, everyone says that, but you just have to try it once you hook it up so you know it works before you cover the connections and put everything else back together. The advice ought to be to plug your ears and warn you wife before you test it in the garage. ;)

My garage isn';t even attached and the wife wanted to know what the hell I was doing when I hit the button on mine. Like Dank said, you have to try it before putting the tools away

So, is that where the saying "Fool with Da Bull, You Get the Horn" Came from?

They do the job very well. This summer in Kalispell MT (while at the NW rally), I had a guy attempt to pull across right in my space (near down town at low speed about 25mph) way way too friggin close so I let the horn go with about a 2 second burst, the vehicle instantly swerved abrubtly and kinda wiggled then went back in the lane he came from and I could see the guy looking back all freaked out. I laughed my @$$ off. I love this horn.

In just the last few days on my early AM trip to work mine has saved the life of a possum and a skunk. I thought the skunk was a cat and gave it a blast he did a duck and cover as I passed. When I saw it was a stink kitty I thought I had really messed up. Glad he didn't spray.

They are great. It is the only motorcycle horn I have had where I could see people react and correct their errant behavior. My sense was that usually it wasn't so much that it is deafening, but rather they think there is a truck that they missed seeing. I ought to put one on my Honda. really ought to. the problem is that it came with a good horn rather than a poor one like a stock Nomad, and good is the perfect enemy of best.
