:-) Just in case. . . We have 2 guest rooms. Both are reasonably small but comfortable with a double bed. We can put 2 more bikes in the garage with ours. There is enough driveway/street parking for 2 pick-up/traler visitors. Our community is not gated, but we get along with our neighbors and they watch our back. We would like to PM or E-mail with potential visitors previous to their stay.

I should have a ton of vacation to use up by next summer, due to a 2nd knee operation that will take place in a few weeks. So I'm planning on attending both "the National" and the "Rally in the Redwoods. I've submitted my plan.

Pardon my stupidness (is that a word?) but where in the redwoods are you planing this little adventure? I live in the redwoods and would be more than happy to attend as well as my GF..
My son lives on the coast and he will more than likely make it as well..Thanks,

We will be based in Crescent City, CA. (Aug 23-25, 2011) We have a base hotel lined up with a number of rooms blocked out, but I will hold off announcing the place until I get the okay from the establishment to post it.

Well, I will certainly try to make this ride. I've already got one in June to BC, one in July to South Dakota, and now this one for August. That should just about kill all my vacation.

Hey that's not to far from me at all. You can't go wrong on the ride up 101 toward Coos Bay. My son and I just went from Willits (huh? where the hell is that) up 101 all the way to Astoria in Wa. Then we really started putting the miles on and ended up 3,300 miles later in 2 weeks up into Canada and all over. Great ride and we made it to the Volcanic Blast in Yakima as well..Did we meet any of you all there?

I am planning on it. We also have a room if somebody needs a layover and I have volunteered to Kris my house as a Washington departure point. I will even make breakfast so we all have extra "drinkin" money :)

School will be in session and 3100+ miles one way...probably not going to happen but boy do I wish I could take the time off school to do it.

That's exactly how I feel about the National in Maggie Valley!

If I knew my boss wouldn't be mega upset for missing a week or so at the start of the year, I'd do it in a heart beat, believe me. Never know...I may just show up.
