Actually I/we Brian {midge} and I might be looking for a place to drop off a truck and trailer. We are considering trailering part way, to help make some time if we figure it'll be too big of a push and we are short on time to ride all the way.

Ricky, I only have 6 acres to park on. Might not be enough??? ::) You are more than welcome to come here. I could set up a parking lot with a toll booth for everyone.

As I stated, it's only 1350 miles to Deals Gap from here. That would be 3 nice days or 2 long haul days.

Joel, I was thinking that since the National Rally is so close to me, just a day's ride (500ish miles), I'd ride out to you and then ride back east. Can I stay at the house too? :)

We live in Akron. Who needs a hotel?? We have space, Casa del Waterman.

It's all a ways off....and I was just thinking out loud....I'm not dead set for or against any idea. I was just tossing it out there to see what everyone thought. I know what will happen though...as summer draws near, those west coast members who can't make it to Deal's Gap will start making noise about doing "something" out here....

. I guess I'll have to think on it some more and see what other ideas might transpire....

. So many roads.....so little time.....

I honestly don't see what the problem is If west coasters cant make the deals gap National and have there own rally it all sounds good, Maybe some people from the East cost would try to make it if its at a different time. And if you like to ride the distance is most likely not the problem, I would have to say time off from work.

I guess I better speak up before I end up paying for it all. LOL.

Basically, all of you are right. Here are the facts:

- KawaNOW does hold a national rally every other year. The next one is in 2011.
- Yes, it will be at Deals Gap, NC. The rally for 2011 was moved closer to the eastern part of the USA...as promised. This was done to help the guys in the east attend a national rally that they couldn't attend in 2009 becuase South Dakota was too far.
- Yes, the national rally in 2013 will be held somewhere in the western part of the USA (who knows, probably at Custer again?)

In 2009, there was a rally held at Fingers Lake by the eastern guys for those that couldn't attend the national. I see no reason why that can't be done for 2011 in the west.

Netnorske and others that feel they can't make it, feel free to plan and execute a rally in the western part of the US in 2011.

Trip you may want to change the 2013 rally to 2012 I heard the world was ending in Dec. of 2012.
