WTB: V&H or Cobra Exhaust

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a new to me 07 Nomad with stock pipes. Im looking to purchase a new exhaust asap!!! If anyone has any they are looking to unload let me know. Also do I have to install a power commander?? Or is this something that can be done later with out damaging the bike.

Thanks!

MH

negative on the power commander, you might have to do the marble trick or put on coasters though. Ebay is the quickest and best bet for pipes I bet. V&H for 400 ish

Hey Borto, You from Grand Rapids MI? I grew up on corner of Wealthy and Paris in GR. Think there is a hospital on top of old homesite now though. Family still lives there just south of 44th and west of Division in Wyoming.
Dude,,,,I do not miss the snow!

Both of these are designed to eliminate the popping usually on deceleration when you change the pipes.

Check out these pages at Gadget's site:

http://www.gadgetjq.com/smogstuffremove.htm
http://www.gadgetjq.com/rv_removal.htm

Basically you put a marble in the line to the reed valves to basically disable them. The coasters are plates that replace the reed valves. You can buy them a lot of places and I think Chuckster here makes them as well but I may be mistaken on that.

Here is what the coasters look like:
